Conditions of Sale

AGENTS

Antiques Bazaar is a centre of over 95 traders. Antiques Bazaar acts as agents for the traders.

DESCRIPTIONS

Any description or provenance of an item is the responsibility of the trader selling that item, and Antiques Bazaar accepts no responsibility for such descriptions or provenance.

CHECK YOUR INTENDED PURCHASE

All the stock has been previously used, so it will bear some marks and imperfections, normally in line with the age of the item, and the previous use to which they have been put. We strongly advise customers to check items carefully for condition, colour, size, and compatibility prior to purchase.

WILL IT FIT?

It is the responsibility of the buyer to accurately measure to ensure an item will fit. If subsequently, an item will not fit, that item still remains the full responsibility of the buyer.

DELIVERY

Antiques Bazaar offers a delivery service. With a 1-man delivery, this is normally to the ground floor front door. The delivery driver may be able to help to position the item within your property, at the risk and responsibility of the buyer. With a 2-man delivery, the item may be positioned within your property and assembled if necessary, but again entirely at the risk of the buyer.

PAYMENT

Antiques Bazaar accepts debit and credit cards and cash in payment. All items must be paid for before collection or delivery. Cheque payments are not accepted at Antiques Bazaar.

DEPOSITS

Antiques Bazaar will accept deposit payments for items.

The balance is due within the agreed period and terms.

Deposits are not refundable.

STORAGE OF SOLD ITEMS

Traders at Antiques Bazaar will store sold items for 7 days from the date of purchase. Thereafter a storage charge of £10 per item per week or part week will accrue and must be paid before release of the goods. If the storage charge reaches the sale price of the item(s), they will be re-offered for sale without further reference to the purchaser.

NO REFUNDS

On behalf of the traders, Antiques Bazaar DO NOT REFUND once a sale has been concluded.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

DISCRETIONARY CREDIT

At the absolute discretion of the trader, we may take back an item, and issue a credit note for the purchase, fewer transport costs (if any) and a re-stocking charge of 20% of the sale value. However, this is ENTIRELY discretionary, and not guaranteed.

YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS

None of the foregoing affects your statutory rights.
